A little bit about me.

About me, wow, I never know where to begin as I am my own worst critic. I am a mother of 4 uniquely amazing children ranging from 11 years to 11 months. I am also a Christian, stay-at-home mom. I believe the term “Stay-at-home mom” is relative; it really means “works for free”. When I am not cooking, cleaning, and changing diapers; I also volunteer at my children’s school, attend college full-time, support my husband’s career as well as his volunteer position at our church, and I meet the constantly changing needs of my special needs child. Because my plate isn’t quite full enough, now, I also blog.

This blog is about the things that I make. Sometimes I use new materials, but often I repurpose the things that I already have around the house. I have found it is much easier for the kids to give up a favorite piece of clothing if I am able make them something better out of it. This blog will show you some of the ways that I make our lives better by making it myself.

In all fairness, I have to say that just over a year ago I was in 2 car accidents in one week. Yes, I know the odds of that happening are something like a gazillion to one, but it happened to me. This has left me with chronic pain which I try to manage without medicating. I will try my best to share my projects with all of you in a timely manner, but sometimes the pain is more then I can manage. This usually leaves me down for several days while I try to get back to a functioning level. I craft because it gives me a sense of purpose when there is little else I can do.

I craft because I love it; I craft because it keeps me sane.
